Grand Junction Institute of Bicycle Mechanics

 Course Objective:

The class is designed as a crash course (no-pun intended) in bicycle repair for cycling enthusiasts that love to ride and individuals that are considering employment in the bicycle industry. 

Class Description:

This two day class will cover all the basics of bicycle repair including: gear and brake adjustment, wheel truing, bearing replacement, size and fit, bike set up and adjustment, tube and tire replacement, and torque settings.  The skills taught in this class will apply to mountain, road, and other types of bikes.  At the end of the class, the students will have the opportunity to work on their own bikes and apply the skills they have learned throughout the course.

 repair manual that you get to keep, all instructional materials, and a

What The Class Doesn’t Cover:

More advanced topics such as: front and rear shock overhaul, hydraulic brake bleeding, and tubeless tire systems are not covered in this class although some of the theory may be discussed.
